"Let me start by saying, I am very demanding when it comes to the care of my dogs. I worry all the time that something will happen to them when they are not in my care. I have tried many different options from family members, doggy daycare to veterinary care and I have never found the detail of care my dogs required. When caregivers say there is additional service I can pay for to provide “cuddles/love” for my dogs in their care, I know they do not truly care for the animals. They are only in it for the money. That is not the case with Hamilton House & Hounds. Heather is one of the most thoughtful, kindest, caring and trustworthy persons whom I have met. Her love for animals goes far beyond that of a typical pet service. She came into my home as a service provider and left as a cherished friend and family member. Heather has been caring for my dogs for over two years. When she started caring for my dogs, we had five very needy dogs, two of which had demanding medical needs. Heather listen to my concerns and conditions of my dogs and asked many detailed questions. We needed someone who was able to monitor subtle changes in our dog’s health and behavior. The moment I met Heather I knew she was the right fit for our family needs, she did not question the additional level of care and support required. Heather’s primary responsibility is to let the dogs out in the yard and monitor their activity, assist with medication administration, clean up accidents in the house and on occasion bring the dogs to her home while we traveled. Over the past two years, we lost two of our dogs, one very unexpected. As my husband and I waited for hours at the vet in the hope that the doctors could save her, Heather sat in the waiting area. When the time came that we had to make the hard decision, she was instrumental in ensuring we understood the information being communicated to us. I cannot imagine going through this without Heather. Choosing a care provider for our pets is extremely nerve-wracking but leaving your pet in Heather’s loving hands is one of the best and most important decisions you will make. " - Colleen C. "For dog walking services: Heather has watched my two large (65+lbs) dogs on numerous occasions. She's super great with communication, she provided a timeframe of when she would stop by and informed me when she arrived and when she left, during the visit. I was given plenty of photos and videos of my pups enjoying their time with Heather. Heather goes well beyond simply taking them for a walk or letting them out she is really interactive with the dogs and gives them great stimulation! Heather presents herself has very friendly and treated my dogs with the same amount of care as if they were her own pets. I fully trust Heather and would recommend her to anyone!
For overnight / pet motel services: When it comes to overnight or extended stays Heather goes above and beyond. I had to go out of town for a week and I arranged for Heather to take care of my german shepherd at her home. Heather made sure to give my boy ample space to get comfy and treated him like he was a member of the family. I got daily messages/ pics of how he was doing. I Always felt that my pup was safe and well cared for. I would recommend her services to anyone. If you want to have zero worries Heather is the right person for the job. " - John |

Hired for the dogs but cats are having a ball...
"We hired Heather to help walk our dogs during the week when my husband took a job farther away. She is wonderful with all our pets and we are ever so grateful to have her. She is extremely responsible, detail oriented, and communicative. Heather treats our pets with the same concern and love she would for her own. We have two dogs (an Australian Shepherd puppy and a pit bull) and two cats. We started working with Heather when the puppy was only ~12 weeks old. She took incredible care to follow our instructions and communicate with us about how she was doing during their visits. Not only has she been perfect with the puppy, but I also trust her to handle our 60 lb pit bull, who can be a bit of a weirdo. She is very mindful of her surroundings and I trust her to keep them both safe. Finally, even though we hired Heather for the dogs, I love how much she loves the cats. They’re a mischievous lot and she sends updates of their antics as well (of which there are many). We can recommend Heather’s services with confidence.
